Hello everyone! June has been an unforgettable month at The Crafty Beanie in the heart of Saffron Walden. From giggles during teddy bear parties to the satisfying strokes of paintbrushes on pottery, we’ve had a studio full of happy faces and colourful creations.

🎨 Pottery Party Fun

We hosted party after party this month, with children and grown-ups alike diving into the joy of pottery painting. Our most popular choices? Vases, plates, and unicorns — all lovingly hand-painted and glazed to perfection. Whether you’re from Audley End, Ashdon, Wenden, or nearby Great Chesterford, our party bookings have been full of laughter, creativity, and some seriously impressive art!

🧸 Teddy Bear Parties & Bookmark Creations

Our Teddy Bear Making Parties have truly stolen the show this month. Little ones chose their own furry friends, gave them names, and even designed custom bookmarks to go with them. It’s such a joy to see imaginations come to life - and it’s no surprise these parties have become one of our top birthday picks.

🍷 Paint and Sip Nights

For the grown-ups, our Paint and Sip evenings have been pure magic. We painted vases, giggled our way through a cheeky Highland cow session, and sipped on something chilled while enjoying a creative night out. These events are the perfect way to unwind, try something new, and leave with a masterpiece.

🧑‍🎨 After School Clubs & Little Makers

Every Tuesday at 10:30 AM, our Little Makers (ages 1–5) explore textures, colours, and simple crafts in a relaxed, sensory-friendly environment. On Thursdays, our After School Club gets older kids (5+) stuck into themed projects — from identity plates to galaxy canvas painting. It’s been wonderful to see our clubs grow with children joining us from across Newport, Great Chesterford, and Thaxted.

🌞 What’s Coming This Summer?

We’ve got an exciting line-up of summer holiday workshops and creative clubs for children and families. Expect new themes every week — from space to superheroes, beach days to bugs - with activities ranging from pottery to canvas painting, bookmark making to air-dry clay. Perfect for keeping little hands busy and big imaginations fired up!
